By Philip Smith.
On Friday 28th September and after a
gruelling 32 hour flight Field Base welcomed the six new UK ICS Team Leaders.
They are Holly Illingworth, Philip Smith, Rob Burnett, Gavin Reid, Rosalind Garbett and Lou
Rowen.
They were met by the six Indian Team Leaders
that they’ll be working closely with over the next 12 weeks. They are Boopathi
, Vishnu Raj, Chandrashekhar Waddar,
Ajit Khot, Shivu Madhu and Sunil Kumar MS.
All 12 Leaders will undertake an intense two
week training program before they will be joined by the ICS volunteers who will
then be trained for a further week in preparation for their 10 week expeditions.
We are looking forward to our pre planning visit to the project sites on
Wednesday and meeting the locals we will be working with.
