Elephants, Warthogs and Fajitas

Our 5am start definitely paid off after 3 days of training at CIDOR with Mykaps. We left the compound for a day off, drove through Madena Tiger Reserve and saw a combination of wild elephants, deer, warthog and peacocks.

We then made our way to the elephant sanctuary where we were amazed by the spectacular sight of the elephants used for the festivals and parades in Mysore. Some of us got the privilege of feeding them as well.
Happy with our many achievements we made our way back to our projects site stopping at Bilikere to get supplies for the evening.

We decided on fajitas for tea so we bought the vegetables and then we had to select our live chicken and have it killed. We did this and then took our 2.5kg of chicken back to Mydanahalli. We prepared the chicken and vegetables which resulted in the best Indian meal so far - a slightly spiced chicken, peppers, onions and tomatoes served with a side of fried onions and potatoes filling our stomachs in preparation for the long day of planning ahead for the health camps and activities for the next couple of weeks.
