Excitingly field
base team have arrived safely for the beginning of project 13C and are raring
to go! We've all been made very welcome by the permanent staff out here and
although so far it’s only been a matter of days, it feels as though we've been
here ages!
The curry’s
are lush, the weather beautiful and thankfully there’s been no sign of Delhi
belly, just yet! We've explored the vibrant local markets, been stared at as we've trekked through countryside & villages and generally been enjoying
getting to know the rest of the team out here.
Field base, Jayapura
This all
seems very exciting and fairly relaxed, but we have been doing some work –
honest! When we haven’t been enjoying the local delights of Mysore and its
surroundings we've been busy preparing for everyone’s arrivals. We’re really
looking forward to the imminent arrival of all team leaders this weekend and
the volunteers shortly after.
Bring on
the adventure and look out for the psychedelic yellow cows en route!
